AgSci Internship Bowery Farming - Kearny, NJ5.0 8 hours agoFull-timeEstimated: $26,000 - $38,000 a year Apply Now Skills * Machine Learning The Role This is a full-time, paid summer 2019 internship offering the opportunity to work closely with an innovative, passionate team of scientists and immerse yourself in indoor agriculture R&D. Were looking for someone that is bright, eager to learn, organized, a team-player, and adaptable in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. As Bowery Farmings AgSci Intern, youll work within our state-of-the-art R&D facility alongside agricultural scientists, collaborating with them to learn applied plant science and R&D. You will also own an original research project from start to finish. You will report to an Agricultural Scientist with opportunities to participate in the overall research and development. While you will be focused on a particular stream within our R&D portfolio, you will have opportunities to work with the entire team, ensuring that you have a broad learning experience. What Youll Do Conduct original research: * Define a project plan & execute research * Present research findings to AgSci team and broader Bowery community * Partner with Bowery scientists on additional projects and initiatives Who You Are * Currently pursuing an undergraduate or masters degree in horticulture, plant science, controlled environment agriculture, or a similar discipline and looking for a summer internship * Ability to commute to and work at our R&D facility in Kearny, NJ * Curious about industry applications of plant science * Flexible and adaptable to work in a startup environment, where new processes and ways of working are being created everyday.
