You will program working prototypes in a modern analytical language under the guidance of talented and technically accomplished data scientists. In this role you will learn to develop machine learning algorithms, research and document processes, participate in ideation to solve problems and work in an Agile and DevOps environment. You will interact with other internal teams on a regular basis, both to sell new ideas and to elicit feedback on old ones. You will work as part of a fun team. YOU'RE GOOD AT Work as part of a data science team on machine learning Process, analyze, and interpret data from multiple sources and develop insights and algorithms for improving search relevancy. Use probability, statistics and data mining techniques for detecting patterns and applying to the search engine as machine learning. YOU'RE GOOD AT (CONT'D) YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS) Courseware or experience in software development, be it an entering college Sophomore or Junior, or a candidate interested in the field Understanding of statistical machine learning and optimization techniques Enthusiastic to learn new technologies, machine learning techniques Exposure to big data technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Spark, AWS Experience in at least one programming languages (Python, R, Java, Scala, C# etc.) and are comfortable with databases and SQL Ability to deliver a convincing story derived from the data sets to both a technical and non-technical audience Comfortable with Microsoft Office - especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word Exposure to DevOps tools (Git/Github, Docker, Jenkins etc.) is a plus Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college/university degree program.
