INTERN - IT TECH SERVICES Capitol Federal - Topeka, KS4.4 9 hours agoFull-timeEstimated: $24,000 - $34,000 a year Apply Now Skills * Computer Skills * LAN * Windows Role Assists LAN Administrators with daily activities to include troubleshooting level 1 issues, hardware and software deployments. Assist with the monthly patching process and participate in IT Intern will learn and develop skills in information technology to include deploying images, system wide back up of data and networking of computers. Major Duties and Responsibilities 1. 30% Support and maintain software and hardware on Windows systems. Monitor IT helpdesk ticketing system and ensure tickets are resolved within reasonable timeframe. 2. 30% Perform level one troubleshooting of workstations and other peripherals. Utilize management tools to deploy, monitor and debug desktop applications through-out the enterprise. 3. 25% Assist administrators with the installation and setup of hardware equipment. 4. 10% Assist in updating user and technical documentation. Maintaining the hardware inventory. 5. 5% Participate in IT projects to assist in research and follow internal change management methodology by adhering to documentation and production change control processes. 6. Must comply with current applicable laws, regulations and bank policies and procedures. ADA Requirements Physical Requirements Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 40 lbs. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including telephone, copier, facsimile, and printers. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Working Conditions Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with minimal noise. Must be able to travel to complete work. Mental and/or Emotional Requirements Must be able to perform job functions independently or with limited supervision and work effectively either on own or as part of a team. Must be able to read and carry out various written instructions and follow oral instructions. Must be able to complete basic mathematical calculations, spell accurately, and understand computer basics. Must be able to speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence. Must be capable of dealing calmly and professionally with numerous different personalities from diverse cultures at various levels within and outside of the organization and demonstrate highest levels of customer service and discretion when dealing with the public. Must be able to perform responsibilities with composure under the stress of deadlines / requirements for extreme accuracy and quality and/or fast pace. Must be able to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities. Must be capable of exercising highest level of discretion on both internal and external confidential matters. Must be able to complete basic mathematical calculations and spell accurately.
