The Accounts Payable Summer Intern will perform standard accounts payable functions including, but not limited to: reviewing, coding, sorting, and inputting vendor invoices, employee expense reports, and miscellaneous billings using NetSuite accounting software . The Accounts Payable Specialist will also be responsible for researching accounting inquiries and resolving issues as they arise. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION / DUTIES * Vendor A/P entries and matching approved invoices to printed checks * Monitor general A/P email address * File and record maintenance (hard copy and electronic) * Other accounting duties as assigned by the Controller MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS * Working toward a Bachelors degree, preferably in accounting, finance or business. * Two+ years completed in accredited US college or university * Must be in good academic standing * Entry-level with some work experience in a professional service firm is preferred * Experience with accounting software a plus * Strong computer skills, including solid skill in the Microsoft Office suite (particularly Word & Excel) * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Perform work accurately and in a time efficient manner, with strong attention to detail, organization, and follow through * Team player with flexible, supportive attitude. Service orientation a must WORK ENVIRONMENT * Required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to type, write with a pen, finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. * Occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds. * Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
