Built Green Program Intern Master Builders Association of King and Snohomish Counties - Bellevue, WA3.5 6 hours agoPart-timeEstimated: $36,000 - $49,000 a year Apply Now Skills * Event Planning Job Title: Built Green Intern Reports to: Built Green Senior Program Manager Department: Built Green Status: Temporary, Hourly, Non-Exempt About us: Built Green is a 19-year-old residential green building certification program created and administered by Master Builders Association of King and Snohomish Counties (MBAKS). It exists to certify green housing; promotereen building education; work in tandem with local, County and statewide jurisdictions to develop and promote green building incentive policies; and provide extended membership benefits in addition to MBAKS membership. The team seeks to actively develop and maintain relationships across many facets of the industry and the community, such as industry influencers, sponsors, community partners, members and public sector partners. In this role you will support Built Greens marketing and education efforts, particularly with the upcoming annual Built Green Conference. You will be exposed to the leading names in the green building industry and will have the opportunity to expand your knowledge about green building, environmental policy and program operations. The Role: Built Green Intern is responsible for: * Built Green Conference planning and support * Newsletter compilation * Data gathering and analysis assistance * Database and map upkeep This description is intended to provide an overview of the responsibilities and duties of this position. It is not all-inclusive. The responsibilities may change over time. Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills: * Must be a full-time undergraduate student studying environmental policy, science, construction management, architecture or related field * Demonstrable knowledge of environmental and green building issues * Strong level of interest in the Built Green program * High level of competency in data analysis and database use * Experience in event planning is a plus * Must be at least 18 years of age and eligible to work in the United States Time Commitment: Approximately 20 hours a week for six to eight weeks, sometime between June and September. Hours are flexible between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Supervisory Responsibility: This position does not have current supervisory responsibilities.
