Civil Engineer Intern Burgess Engineering & testing - Moore, OK 8 hours agoFull-time$55,000 - $80,000 a year Apply Now Education * Bachelor's Degree * Master's Degree Skills * Driver's License * AutoCAD * Microsoft Office Benefits * Health Insurance * Paid Time Off Job Responsibilities and Duties * Bachelor or Master of Science in Civil Engineering * Perform geotechnical analysis and study to assess construction site conditions. * Perform field and laboratory investigations for construction projects. * Analyze geotechnical findings, perform appropriate calculations and prepare data reports to Manager. * Develop proposals and determine cost and schedule for investigations. * Provide direction to technical team in field inspection activities. * Interact with clients and team members to complete the assigned project on-time * Perform basic office administration tasks when needed. * Assist Manager in design and evaluation of constructions. * Develop design drawings and specifications for construction projects. * Review and approve geotechnical designs developed by outside consultants. * Review construction design proposals and approve geotechnical aspects. * Skill in using engineering knowledge, principles, practices, and techniques to analyze engineering projects and problems. * Proficiency in MS Office and in using standard engineering software such as AutoCad. * Plan, schedule, conduct and coordinate detailed phases of technical work * Possession of a valid Driver's License. Working Conditions and Physical Requirement * Inside and outside; exposed to heat, cold, humidity, rain, etc. on an as-needed basis. * Subject to working near moving machinery, power tools, and vehicles in motion. * Exposed to intermittent or continued loud noises caused by machinery and construction equipment. * Exposed to varying amounts of noxious odors, dust, etc. when performing field inspections and during laboratory work. * Typical employee working hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. However, working hours vary (may require work to begin before 8:00 a.m. and/or end beyond 5:00 p.m., and/or may require work on weekends and holidays), and are subject to change, based on the duties and business needs of the assigned work department.
