As a privately-held, family-owned broadline foodservice distributor, we serve customers throughout the mid-west, west and Alaska. FSA is seeking an Accounting Intern to assist our Finance department over the summer. This is a paid internship, looking for a candidate who can devote a minumum of 20 hours each week. Responsibilities Assist with analysis and reconcile variance accounts of general ledger and sub-ledger accounts Assist with customer rebate accounting Assist with inventory control management General accounting support as needed Assist with special projects within the Finance team as assigned Provide Finance team with administrative and analytic support Organize and handle accounting documents as required Assist with daily, weekly and monthly accounting tasks as assigned Qualifications Finance or Accounting major from an accredited college or university Junior or above standing 3.0 GPA or better Intermediate Excel skills that include use of formulas, pivot tables, and v-lookups Working knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook Strong interpersonal skills and excellent attention to detail Hours as desired, between 8:00AM and 5:00PM. Able to devote a minimum of 20 + hours per week Effective oral and written communication skills; ability to work with all levels and types of people; ability to prioritize workload Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
