The Kearney & Company Summer Internship Program offers a dynamic experience which includes teamwork in collaborative projects to support the Travel Security Program. The mission of this position is to assist Kearneys Security Department in protecting Kearney employees, information and property. Additional duties will include: Analytical research on upcoming company travel to overseas engagements, drafting SOPs and identifying new and useful databases to determine travel threat. Proficiency in current database usage will be required but training will also be provided. Research Protective Security Operations for the private sector VIP. Transform USG terminology, practices, procedures and recommend private sector operational plans based on research. Draft outline policy with close coordination and guidance of Director of Global Security (DGS). Work closely with DGS to formulate a physical security technology upgrade plan for Kearney HQTRS. Alexandria Virginia. Develop several security forms and online training programs working closely with Kearney security and technical staff. Develop Kearney specific CI Briefing and Debriefing forms. Attend security briefings and presentations with DGS and Security Staff as they are scheduled. Assist in security and safety upgrades at Kearneys new Charleston office. Work closely with DGS on the Kearney Risk Assessment Project, completing several sections and pre-report due in August 2019. Work closely with the Facilities Security Officer to provide administrative support to his projects as needed. Attend weekly NHO security briefings to obtain a better understanding of Corporate security priorities. Conduct special filing of documents for clearance confirmation. Coordinate and develop procedures for Insider Threat Working Group. Research common threats and current incidents and draft articles to be sent to Kearney employees for security awareness. Coordinate with Facilities Department to research and recommend security messages to be placed in security bulletin boards on Kearney office space for added security awareness Assist in operational protective security requirements for several offsite Kearney events. This position will be located in Alexandria, VA, but specific projects may require travel throughout the United States and the DC metropolitan area.
