Summary amp; Key Responsibilities The IT Senior Apprenticeship is a 2-3 semester work and learn model that combines college curriculum with part-time paid employment with our partner school. At the end of the program, students walk away with an associate degree, paid work experience and enhanced technical skills. State Auto Insurance Companies has an exciting paid IT Senior Apprenticeship -Developer opportunity located in Columbus, Ohio. The length of the apprenticeship is dependent upon the student and class schedule. The apprentice will assist with various projects, activities, and events within the IT Cyber team. They will have the opportunity to learn about many different functions of State Auto and insurance. We will provide a meaningful experience to students by assigning tasks and projects that help the students grow as an IT professional as well as the opportunity to participate within a Mentorship program. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: * Writing code - mainly JavaScript, CSS, and HTML * Prototyping, developing specifications and implementing software, working with quality engineering to develop tests, and working with documentation and user experience groups * Communicating and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teammates and presenting work to internal partners supervisor and members of senior leadership. * Willing to participate in a variety of projects and the ability to attend business meetings and community events, which will enrich the learning experience.
