You must be available for the entire duration of the program. What You Will Do During This Internship Within the DC office is a 20 person Brand Design studio (including two Drexel alumnae) comprised of graphic designers, strategists, digital media experts, and storytellers that engage with a wide variety of clients on projects of all sizes. Our work ranges from print collateral and websites to campus signage systems and workplace graphics. As Gensler brand designers, we help our clients tell their unique stories effectively via every channel available in today's diverse media landscape. Our approach combines design and architectural expertise with a unique point of view and strong communication skills. We believe that this approach results in brands that build trust, inspire confidence, and forge lasting relationships. As a Gensler Brand Design Intern, your job is to support the client's design objectives on a wide variety of graphic design project types, including but not limited to print design, signage, wayfinding and experiential graphic design. You will be a valuable team-player and design contributor. * Participate in the design conceptualization phase and aesthetic direction * Collaborate with designers, strategists, directors, and managers to plan, design, develop, to learn about the implementation of projects * Work closely with architects and interior designers to create inspiring and engaging physical environments * Gain real-world experience working with clients large and small across a spectrum of industries and locations Your Qualifications * A demonstrably strong grasp of the fundamentals of graphic design (color theory, typography, composition, scale, etc.) * A perfectionist's attention to detail without losing sight of the big picture * The willingness to take direction and the desire to learn from design professionals from a variety of disciplines * A great eye combined with an awareness of style and technology in graphics, architecture, and interiors * Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
