Pelican is proud to be offering a 9-week Summer Internship Program from June 10th to August 8th. Interns will typically work 32 hours per week and have the opportunity to receive hands-on work experience as well as participate on special projects. Interns will also attend presentations by Pelican leadership and participate in special networking activities. THE ENGINEERING STANDARDS INTERN Position will assist with SAP Data Consolidation in an effort to consolidate part numbers and reduce inventory locations, work in the lab to validate mold testing for standard products, and research vacuforming technology and its possible applications at Pelican. This is a a great opportunity to get hands-on experience in supply chain operations, engineering and R&D in a complex, global manufacturing environment. To qualify for this internship, you should have basic solid analytical, verbal and written communication skills and general proficiency Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint. We will provide training in SAP as needed. Students majoring in Engineering or Operations are encouraged to apply. Preference will be given to children and relatives of Pelican employees, but external candidates will be considered if we are unable to fill positions. Candidates should be actively attending college and entering into their junior or senior year of college in Fall 2019. If you are selected to move on to the next step, you will be sent an invitation on or around May 6th to participate in either a phone, video or in-person interview.
