Editorial Intern Insight Editions - San Rafael, CA2.7 1 hour agoFull-time Apply Now Editorial Intern Insight Editions San Rafael, CA Job Description Insight Editions, an award-winning independent book publisher, currently seeks an Editorial Intern to provide editorial and administrative support to the editorial team. Our publishing program includes titles from many of the worlds largest brands and pop-culture staples, from Harry Potter to DC Comics to Disney. This role is a great opportunity for a candidate to learn the editorial process for a global publishing company. The intern will report to the Associate Publisher, senior editors, and other editorial team members within a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This is a full-time position located in our San Rafael office. This is a temporary role for a period of three months, with potential for further expansion from there. Responsibilities and duties: * Assisting the Associate Publisher and editorial team on a variety of editorial assignments, such as project conceptualization and drafting proposals * Assisting in the creation of marketing materials, including but not limited to sales copy * Performing competitive market research and compiling reports * Assisting with ongoing database management projects * Performing general administrative duties Qualifications: * Current undergraduate student or recent graduate with editorial or related experience * Strong written and verbal communication skills * A passion for books and writing * Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat * Knowledge of the film, television, and gaming industries * Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment Please send a cover letter and your resume to be considered for this position.
