Job Summary This is a 3-month part-time paid internship (10-15 hours a week) that is designed to provide experience for a student interested in a wealth management career. To be effective, an individual must be able to perform each job duty successfully. Job Description LOCATION Wealth Management Team 735 S State Street Salt Lake City, UT 84111 * Learning how to connect with members amp; branch employees * Building portfolios, illustrations and hypotheticals * Organize and carry out branch educational seminars * Learning how to prospect to members of the credit union * Assisting in operational support on client accounts (calls, paperwork, maintenance) * Learning the financial planning process * Observing advisor-client appointments * Organizing branch training meetings KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.nbsp; Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions. EXPERIENCE * Have a strong interest in pursuing a financial planning/wealth management career * Exceptional interpersonal, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills * Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask * Have some knowledge of financial markets and macro-level economic trends * Strong analytical skills * Highly inquisitive, focused and pro-active * Good judgment and discretion when working with confidential information Education High school diploma or equivalent Currently attending an educational institution with an emphasis in Wealth Management, Business, Finance or Financial planning or related field Managerial Responsibility Has no supervisory/managerial responsibilities Language Skills Must have the ability to read, understand and carry out instructions in written and oral form.
