Buying and Planning Intern FALL/WINTER 2019 Of a Kind - Brooklyn, NY Part-time$15 an hour Skills * Excel * Google Docs Benefits * Employee Discount Primary Responsibilities * Supporting buying/merchandising and finance teams. * Assisting in maintaining and updating assortment grids as needed with photos, pricing, etc. * Managing designer email submissions and serving as initial filter. * Maintaining log of incoming and outgoing samples. * Tracking sales and sell-throughs. * Researching emerging designers and brands and pitching to buyers. * Generating reports in Excel and Google Docs for finance team. * Performing operational and office-management functions. Qualifications * Passion and enthusiasm for Of a Kind, emerging designers, and startups. * Kindness, sense of humor, and a positive, can-do attitude. (Belief that no task is too small!) * Advanced skills in Excel (vlookups, pivot tables, etc.) are a must. * Ability to quickly grasp organizational workflow of the business. * Excitement around immersing yourself in the brand world of Of a Kind. * Extreme attention to detail. * Efficiency in juggling numerous requests, both immediate and ongoing. * Stellar email manner and communication skills. * Ability to multitask, prioritize, and stay calm under pressure. * Confidence to take initiative and tackle any project. Job Types: Part-time, Internship Salary: $15.00 /hour Additional Compensation: * Store Discounts Working days: * Monday * Tuesday * Wednesday * Thursday * Friday Hours per week: * 10-19 Typical start time: * 10AM Typical end time: * 6PM
