DESCRIPTION Michael Baker International is seeking a Civil Engineering intern to support the Transportation Department in our Alexandria, VA office for the summer of 2019. This position requires that the applicant work together with management and support staff on a preferred 40-hour a week basis for projects that cover all aspects of Traffic Engineering and Operations. Projects include (but are not limited to): * Transportation Systems Management and Operations (TSMO) * Traffic Policy Updates * Transportation Planning * Transportation Impact Studies * Traffic Operations Analysis, Traffic Signal Design Plans * Maintenance and Protection of Traffic Plans * Asset Management Inventories PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS * Currently enrolled in good academic standing and pursuing a Bachelors' Degree in Civil Engineering at an accredited University or College; minimum of 2 years of coursework completed. * Minimum 3.0 GPA * College level engineering courses in Civil Engineering * Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Office and Adobe Acrobat; CADD (MicroStation) experience is preferred. * Good verbal and written communication skills * Valid U.S. driver's license * Strong work ethic MICHAEL BAKER INTERNATIONAL EEO STATEMENT Michael Baker International is proud to be an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer.
