(the maker of Invisalign� aligners) is looking for a Research Engineer Intern . This position is responsible for assisting Research Engineers in the R&D Product Innovation department. The Research Engineer Intern will work closely on individual research projects while assisting ongoing research and development projects. The position is located at Aligns corporate headquarters in San Jose, California, and is for a full-time role starting in the summer. In this role, you will Assist biomechanical engineers in laboratory bench testing, design, perform FEA and/or programming scripts Participate in project update meetings and effectively present data and findings Work in a fast-paced environment and meet critical deadlines Work independently on one or more summer research projects and create a final presentation to share with the team. Activities may include: Concept generation and iterative prototyping Formulating and testing hypotheses Investigative research and root cause analysis Data analysis and interpretation In this role, youll need To be a student currently pursuing a Bachelors (junior level or higher), Masters, or PhD degree in Mechanical, Biomedical, or Biomechanical Engineering preferred. Other scientific and engineering disciplines will be considered. Previous research or internship experience Experience with 3-D modeling using SolidWorks or similar Experience with simulation / finite element analysis (FEA experience with ABAQUS preferred) Experience with programming for engineering and statistical analysis (Python preferred, or MATLAB) Experience with rapid prototyping processes Sound like a good fit?
