Graphic Design Internship- Fall Big Brothers Big Sisters - Irving, TX4.4 Part-timeEstimated: $15,000 - $20,000 a year Education * High School Diploma or GED Skills * Adobe Photoshop * Adobe Illustrator * Graphic Design Agency Description: Big Brothers Big Sisters Lone Star is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that exists for the purpose of placing caring adults in the lives of children in one-to-one mentoring relationships. Through the positive impact of those friendships, children with a Big Brother or Big Sister are more likely to graduate from high school and are less likely to begin using drugs, begin drinking alcohol or engage in negative conflict. Since 1927, our staff has worked carefully with both the volunteers and the children to ensure that the experience of Big Brothers Big Sisters is one that is dynamic, fulfilling, memorable and enjoyable for both the child and the volunteer. What We Are Looking For: An ideal candidate would be a dedicated and hard-working student majoring in graphic design, visual communications, marketing, technology, photography, general business, or other related field. An individual who wants to work with nonprofits as a career choice is preferred. Position Summary: This is a flexible, unpaid, part-time (approximately 15-20 hours a week) graphic design internship position. The intern will report directly to the Communications Specialist. It is necessary for the intern to actively participate in both the development team and programming team efforts within the agency. The intern will have the following responsibilities: * Design and create logos, print collateral, infographics, signage, and special invitations * Edit materials for our social media, website, and monthly newsletters * Utilize Photoshop, Illustrator, and Canva in order to maximize marketing campaign outreach * Perform other administrative duties for the Dallas office and personnel as needed Job Types: Part-time, Temporary, Internship Experience: * Graphic Design: 1 year (Preferred) Work authorization: * United States (Required) Work Location: * One location Working days: * Monday * Tuesday * Wednesday * Thursday * Friday
