The internship will provide you the opportunity to work on various areas of the engine for both Military and Commercial engine programs.This is your chance to join a company steeped in history yet focused on the future by developing engines that provide step-change improvements for the next generation of commercial aircraft and fifth generation fighters. Pratt & Whitney, a pioneer in flight and technology, is part of the United Technologies Corporation (UTC) family. UTC is a Fortune 500 company located in over 4,800 locations.The individual will provide support on a variety of engineering tasks within the Design/Drafting group. Responsibilities may include the manipulation/creation of 3D part models in our current graphics software and manipulation/creation of engineering drawings associated to those models; the creation of engineering documentation that aids in the release/revision of engineering drawings; the manipulation/creation of data management documents Pursuing a degree or certificate in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Computer Aided Drafting and Design (or related field of study).A minimum 3.0 GPA is required.Successful completion of a 3D parametric solid modeling course preferred.Familiarization with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing preferred (ASME Y14.5).
