(CEI) is an Arizona owned and operated professional construction engineering firm headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona. As one of the Southwests largest construction management firms, we also provide project controls (scheduling/cost estimating), right of way (appraisals, acquisition and relocation services) and land surveying services. Consultant Engineering, Inc. is currently seeking resumes from qualified students for an intern position to assist staff with engineering projects as needed. The internship will be for the summer of 2019, but will also be available part time during the regular school year. The essential functions and responsibilities will be to perform a variety of elementary engineering tasks. The intern will work under close supervision and receive specific and detailed instructions as to required tasks and results expected. Job Requirements Position Requirements: * Must be pursuing a degree in civil engineering or related field * Detail oriented, team player with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment * Strong math skills * Good communication and people skills * Enjoys the field work and excitement of construction activities * Must be authorized to work in the United States Position Responsibilities: * Perform routine aspects of civil engineering under close supervision * Assist in the coordination of projects * Provide support to staff members as needed Desired Qualifications: * Desire to continue a career in the civil engineering field * Solid analytical, conceptual, and problem solving skills * Resourceful and self-motivated * Solid organizational skills with a focus on details * Working knowledge of Microsoft Office * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Ability to work and thrive in a team environment * Ability to effectively interface with all levels of personnel and management * Applicable internship experience and/or work experience CEI is an equal opportunity employer.
