Dominieren Corporation is a parent company that encompasses several other enterprises. These include a software application company and a media and marketing company. At this time, employees and interns of Dominieren Corporation will spend significant time working for some of the enterprises we are in the process of launching, and will have a "start-up" feel as we build everything from marketing strategy to technological platforms from the ground up. The position We are building a world-class legal team to support Dominieren Corporation and its affiliates as we continue to expand the company and we are looking for a driven and enthusiastic candidate to join the legal team. The intern will collaborate with other members of the Dominieren Corporation team and other employees, to help define, create and edit legal documents and contracts to both protect Dominieren Corporation and help us move our business forward. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to become a lawyer in starting with real-world experience and gaining an overall understanding of the legal system. Roles and responsibilities: Assist with r eview, revise, and route business agreements and other legal documents Follow state and federal legislative activities Research legal issues as well as corporate policies and best practices Update legal databases and position documents Report findings of the research, draft memos and prepare presentations Coordinate projects and communications among various internal business teams Assist with reviewing and analyzing a variety of contracts ranging from revenue, employment, and vendor agreements to minimize company risk Update agreement templates and identify process improvements Other duties in support of supervision processes as assigned Requirements Qualifications: BS/MS degree in law with a concentration on Business law, Contract law, Intellectual property or a related field Excellent written and verbal communication skills and professional demeanor Detail-oriented and highly organized Ability to work independently and within a team structure Comfortable working under a fast-paced environment Be able to manage multiple projects and priorities Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook Familiar with legal research techniques Interest in learning how an in-house legal department operates Hours per week: 15-20 hours per week Benefits Compensation: This internship is a part-time UNPAID position. 20-25 hours/week.
