Merchandise Intern - Product Buying Venus Fashion Inc - Jacksonville, FL3.0 Full-timeEstimated: $41,000 - $56,000 a year Education * Bachelor's Degree Skills * Excel * Organizational Skills * Administrative Experience * Microsoft Powerpoint * Clerical Experience The Merchandise Intern works with the Product Buying team in all facets of managing a successful and growing business. This role is an exciting opportunity to learn about the Product Buying team from the ground up. In this role, youll be an integral part of the team and support the day-to-day functions. Strong analytical and creative problem solving skills and ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment are a must. This is a full-time internship, Monday - Friday 8/9 am - 5pm. Our internships duration is dependent upon your student status; our preference would be a student who is in the process of completing a degree and can intern for greater than 6 months. Those who have completed a degree can intern for a maximum of 6 months at VENUS. (Minimum internship should be no less than 3 months) Upon completing an internship, many of our full-time interns can qualify for positions with VENUS! ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES includes but is not limited to: * Responsible for samples; maintain tracker, log check in/pass off to appropriate teams, and organization between internal/external teams * Manage style out process and prep, including data entry, photo shoot samples, and communication with studio as needed * Partner with team on arranging all product development samples, including style identification, style creation, and managing style counts * Prepare and maintain weekly reports and recaps * Assist in the daily, weekly & monthly maintenance, operation of the business and all aspects of the merchandising process * Complete all other duties and responsibilities as needed & assigned by Sr. Buyer Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
