Function (Scope and Main Purpose of Job) We are seeking an energetic, responsible intern to join our growing organization. In this position, you will be expected to complete various tasks and learn the ins-and-outs of our daily routines and procedures. You will be assisting in all facets of Marketing, including Promotions, Special Events, Entertainment, and more. The primary purpose of this position is to assist with career development by providing real work experiences that pertain to interns interests, and to develop professional skills & competencies, specifically those related to marketing. II. Core Service Standards CLEAN: Must make the property shine and look impeccable while maintaining a neat CLEAN and crisp personal appearance SAFE: Must make guests feel SAFE and comfortable through creating a worry free, carefree experience. Fast: Provide FAST and efficient service with accuracy. Meet service time requirements and anticipate guest needs. FRIENDLY: Greet each guest with FRIENDLY welcomes, making eye contact and smiling. Use H.E.A.R.T. steps to ease guest concerns. Say thank you to departing guests. FUN: Work passionately as a team to create a FUN experience both for everyone who works and plays here III. Specific Responsibilities and Duties Follow all procedures for performing departmental duties and ensuring that Live! Casino & Hotel guests have an enjoyable gaming and entertainment experience. Work with our Marketing team to plan, prepare, execute, and breakdown Promotions, Special Events, Entertainment, and other Marketing projects. Maintain the safety and security of guest and team members. Practice and demonstrate superior guest service Adhere with the company core values as stated above Other duties as assigned. Typical schedule will be Monday Saturday, 5 to 8 hour per day, averaging 20 hours a week. IV. Job Requirements (skills, knowledge, and abilities) Ability to analyze and interpret departmental needs and results. Ability to solve complex problems. Ability to perform assigned duties under frequent time pressures in an interruptive environment. Must have proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license as determined by the Maryland State Lottery and Gaming Commission for the position. Knowledge of safety guidelines. V. Educational Requirements High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred. One (1) to Five (5) years experience in customer service Must be at least 18 years of age Excellent written and verbal communication skills Self-directed and able to work with/without supervision Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas Requirements VI. Working Conditions 24/7 high energy casino with over 300,000 sq. ft of gaming and entertainment space and approximately 3000 employees Exposed to alcohol, cigarette and cigar smoke, bright lights, and loud noises.
