We pride ourselves with working alongside other local businesses in the Atlanta area, such as selling their hand made products or teaming up with them for marketing events! Join us in our mission to continue growing this small business and supporting the other small companies in and around the area. As a part of Sales, you will be meeting new and returning customers, greeting them and offering assistance when they enter the store. You will be trained to work the cash register as well as tagging and stocking merchandise for the store. As for Event Planning, you will work alongside the Store Manager and District Manager to find events around the area where Broad Street Mercantile can set up a booth and sell products as well as spreading the name and mission of Broad Street Mercantile. An Internship with Broad Street Mercantile will lead you to the opportunity to work at Broad Street Mercantile Part-Time. This position will provide you the opportunity to develop your Customer Service skills and start to learn the inside sales process. You will develop skills and strategies that will benefit you throughout your career and will be able to work closely with the Store Manager and District Manager. Job Responsibilities: -Customer Experience Greet and offer assistance to customers once they enter the store. Resolve customer issues and answer questions that will ensure our customers have a positive experience in our store. -Event Planning Find and reach out to different event planners in and around Chamblee. Work alongside them to set up booths and sell at festivals and markets. -Operations Ability to work the schedule that is provided to you. Consistently maintain a clean and organized store that ensures our customers have the best experience. -Internship Duties Provide weekly reports and progress updates to the Store Manager and District Manager. Set goals for yourself to meet during the course of your internship- this includes sales goals and increasing your knowledge of purchasing and merchandising. Requirements: -Dynamic and friendly personality that will encourage our customers to buy. -Excellent, profession communication skills, both verbal and written. -Experience with Event Planning -A student working towards a Bachelors Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or anything related.
