Design Intern Dallas Mavericks - Dallas, TX4.3 Part-timeEstimated: $28,000 - $38,000 a year Skills * Photo Manipulation * Adobe InDesign * HTML5 * Typography * Adobe Photoshop The Dallas Mavericks are currently seeking a graphic design intern for the marketing department to provide production support and design research. The Dallas Mavericks internship program is part-time and allow current undergraduate students the opportunity to gain valuable work experience within a professional sports organization. A successful applicant should be self-motivated; demonstrate strong relationship building skills along with initiative, resourcefulness, and an ability to work creatively and proactively while collaborating in a team environment. The candidate should be prepared to work in a fast-paced team environment but driven to take the initiative to succeed when presented with individual work responsibilities. The Graphic Design Intern candidate would be responsible for researching design trends and NBA best practices, help traffic projects and graphic assets. An ideal candidate should possess the following: Design layout skills Knowledge of typography Logo creation skills Experience with photo manipulation Preferred Requirements: Working knowledge of Photoshop Illustrator and Indesign Familiarity with web ads and html5 animation Advanced social media skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Current student enrolled in a college or university with art or design emphasis Candidate will be evaluated on skills and portfolio of work.
