PAID DIGITAL MARKETING INTERNSHIP FALL 2019 (Washington, DC) TUSK - Washington, DC Part-timeEstimated: $22,000 - $29,000 a year Skills * Time Management * Fact Checking * Organizational Skills * Video Editing TUSK, Inc., a Washington, DC-based political strategy and marketing firm seeks a part-time Intern to join its close-knit team. Our work draws on decades of corporate, non-profit, and political victories to empower a new generation of innovators with the hard-won context of yesterday and the tools to shape tomorrow. We work for a postpartisan set of center-leaning and independent-minded candidates, causes and organizations As an Intern, you will work closely with the team to provide administrative and digital marketing support for various internal and client projects. On any given day you might draft social copy for clients Facebook posts, update content calendars, work with the team to help execute and optimize digital ad campaigns, make basic graphic design updates, assist with data entry/maintenance, analyze analytics or participate in client meetings when possible. The day-to-day work isnt always glamorous and the ideal candidate is willing to do the hard work necessary to get the job done. If youre a self-starting, curious, highly organized professional who is interested in disrupting the political status quo, we want to hear from you. THE ROLE * Work alongside our marketing team to help build marketing projects and campaigns; * Produce written copy for various marketing platforms including, but not limited to: digital advertising, website content, social media posts, blog posts, op-eds, articles, email marketing, fundraising campaigns and presentation decks; * Synthesize and distill complex political issues into digestible messages that are relatable to their intended audiences and incite those audiences to act; * Conduct thorough research and fact check when needed to ensure accuracy; * Assist with updating online advertising campaign trackers and engagement logs; * Help write client-facing metrics reports; * Assist with the execution of client website development projects; * Other tasks as needed. WHO WERE LOOKING FOR * A no task is too big or too small attitude; * A demonstrated passion for marketing as it relates to political advocacy campaigns; * Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple projects at once in a fast-paced environment; * Strong oral and written communication skills; * Willingness to speak up and ask questions; * Basic to intermediate graphic design and/or video editing skills preferred; * Ability to work in a shared open office environment in downtown Washington, DC; * Authorization to work in the United States and to direct federal election campaign activities. * Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time.
