EHS Intern-Boston, MA Veolia North America Boston, MA Posted 6 hours ago Job Snapshot Full-Time Degree - 4 Year Degree Other Great Industries Professional Services Job Description DEPARTMENT: Environmental Health and Safety Northeast Region JOB TYPE: Temporary, Non-Exempt, Non-Represented HOURS: Full-Time, 40 hours/week SALARY: $15.00-$19.00 per hour, depending on experience POSITION SUMMARY Assists the Boston/Cambridge Environmental Health and Safety Director with all aspects of developing and managing Environmental Health and Safety programs pertaining to OSHA regulations and state and federal environmental regulations. Aids in the development of safety and health programs, training, and environmental reporting/records management. PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Assists the Environmental Health & Safety Director with collecting, reviewing, and organizing compliance documentation in accordance with regulatory and Veolias records management requirements. Assist with program development and execution for compliance with regulatory requirements such as OSHA, MassDEP, EPA, and other agencies. Example programs include: confined space entry, lockout tagout, noise, emergency response, etc. as well as environmental programs involving air, water, and hazardous waste requirements. Job Requirements Education: Junior or Senior year Candidate for Bachelor's or Masters Degree in Environmental Science, Safety Engineering or related degree. Skills & Experience: Strong organizational skills and an interest in environmental and safety compliance. High level of proficiency with database (Access preferred), spreadsheets, email, and word processing software required; Microsoft Office and Windows preferred. Strong writing and interpersonal skills required. A willingness to acquire new skills and utilize technology to streamline processes and problem solve is essential.
