Subcontracts Administration Intern Albuquerque, , Administrative Services Introduction Applied Research Associates (ARA) Corporate Contracts department seeking two passionate and driven Subcontracts Administration Interns who are committed to excellence and continuous improvement. ARAs Contracts Team is committed to: * Providing superior customer service and support * Meeting deadlines with high levels of accuracy * Building and maintaining relationships with our customers through communication, education, and collaboration Interns are expected to: * Have the skills to help analyze data * Communicate statuses, interact with all other Departments in order to compile data and be responsible for performing various administrative and clerical tasks in support of the Subcontracts Procurement Team. Through the intern program, we are looking to find the next wave of talent who want to learn government contracting. Successful completion of internship program may result in offer to join ARA as a full-time employee. * What you'll do as a Subcontract Administration Intern * Become familiar with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARS) * Assist Senior Subcontract Administrators in reviewing prime and subcontract documents while learning various government contract types, terms and conditions, etc. * Review and contract, contract mods, and various contractual agreements for compliance and accuracy * Provide support and/or requests for information to co-workers, program managers, subcontractors, and auditors * Prepare and disseminate information to appropriate employees regarding subcontract status, compliance, modification, deviation, negotiation and termination * Participate in the transition to a new Subcontracts Administration business system * Actively participate in special projects and trainings * Subcontract Administration Intern Requirements * Completed at least junior year of college/university. * Must be able to work full-time (40 hours per week) for a minimum of 10 weeks during the Summer 2019 semester, with potential for full or part-time work in the Fall 2019. * Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S., visa sponsorship not available. * Must be highly organized, self-motivated, and thoroughly attentive to detail in all actions. * Must have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills and be able to communicate across all levels and functions of the organization. * Must be able to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently and still meet deadlines assigned. * Subcontract Administration Intern Preferences * Experience using Microsoft Office Company Division Information Applied Research Associates, Inc. is an employee-owned international research and engineering company recognized for providing technically superior solutions to complex and challenging problems in the physical sciences.
