WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Opus has an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Intern to join our fast-growing Human Resources team! This role will assist on projects in all areas of Human Resources, such as Recruitment, Benefits, Payroll, and our Contingent Workforce. This opportunity has the potential to lead to full time employment, though this is not guaranteed.
YOU SHOULD HAVE
* Working toward a bachelor?s degree in Human Resources Management or related field. Seniors or recent graduates preferred.
* Experience working with Microsoft Office Products.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
* Proven ability to work effectively within a team environment.
* Ability to problem solve by thinking creatively.
* Schedule & confirm candidate interviews
* Prepare & store new hire personnel files
* Prepare for new hire orientation and confirm details with new hires
* Assist in conducting new hire orientations
* Prepare benefit materials for new hires
* Assist with benefit enrollment tasks
* Assist the payroll team in preparing for payroll processing
* Other duties as assigned

Individuals will be required to sit for the majority of the day and will be required to stand as needed. May require walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day. Reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist or lifting up to 20 lbs. as required to file documents or store materials throughout the work day. Proper lifting techniques required. Individuals will be required to travel via airplane, train, taxi, car and/or other means of transportation as needed.
