JOB FAMILY SUMMARY PURPOSE Under the general supervision of the Supervisor-Distribution Systems Design, the intern is responsible for working directly with the Distribution Systems Design Engineers to help fulfill the responsibilities of the department. KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Must possess required knowledge, skills, abilities and experience and be able to explain and demonstrate with or without a reasonable accommodation that the essential functions of the job can be performed. MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS ABILITIES: 1. Enrolled as a full-time undergraduate college student (12 hours or more) or a full-time graduate college student (9 hours or more) in a 4-year college/university. 2. Maintain full-time undergraduate or graduate enrollment throughout the duration of the internship. 3. Classified as a Sophomore, Junior, Senior or Graduate student. 4. Maintain an overall GPA at a minimum of 3.0/4.0 or above. 5. Ability to operate personal computer and software such as Excel, Word and Access. 6. Effective verbal and written communication skills. 7. Ability to maintain effective working relationships with officers, managers, fellow employees, and the general public. 8. Ability to maintain a strong sense of propriety concerning confidential matters. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 1. Assist Design Engineers with managing the departmental workload due to reliability improvement needs and service betterment jobs. 2. Assist in collecting and analyzing field data, reviewing and organizing technical documentation, and creating system models. 3. Assist in creating technical reports and procedural/workflow process documentation to improve data management. 4. Perform voltage drop and flickering light corrective work orders. 5. Support the Engineers with the Transformer Load Management Program and the Infrared Inspection Program. 6. Valid drivers license and be in compliance with the Companys Driving Program policy. 7. Complies with all applicable Company policies, procedures and code of ethics as well as all applicable governmental laws and regulations to include employment, safety and environmental standards and regulations. 8. Perform other related tasks that are not included, but are within the context of the duties defined. WORK ENVIRONMENT: 1. The incumbents in this classification are subject to both inside and outside environmental conditions and temperature changes of extreme cold weather (below 32 degrees for periods of more than one hour) and extreme hot weather (temperatures above 100 degrees for periods of more than one hour); and are exposed to loud noises, vibration, hazards, atmospheric conditions, oils, and electrical current and nominal voltages of 600 volts or less. 2.
