Event Management Intern Rose Quarter in Portland, OR, USA We are the team behind the team. As our Event Management Intern, you'll work part-time from July 2019-April 2020 gaining exposure to all aspects of running a successful event. What you'll do: * Shadowing all venue departments to gain a global perspective of events and what it takes to serve as a successful event lead. * Building strong relationships across all departments in order to coordinate and execute various types of events. * Collaborate with the Trail Blazers for on-campus specialty events. * Effectively communicate with clients by phone, email and in-person to ensure all event needs are met. * Coordinate with internal departments to create, manage and distribute event documents. * Participating in weekly event and department meetings. * Other responsibilities as assigned. You are qualified if: * You are 18 years of age or older. * You are in the process or have recently earned a Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Management or other applicable majors. * You can work part-time, flexible hours that includes nights, weekends and selected holidays. * You have prior event experience, preferred. * You have prior customer service experience. * You are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and have internet research skills. * You build and maintain constructive and positive working relationships. * You possess excellent written and verbal skills. * You are a creative thinker and problem solver. * You demonstrate superior organizational skills and can function in a dynamic, multi-task setting. * You possess the ability to lift 20-50 lbs.
