Desktop Support Internship Cambia Health Solutions, Inc. in Portland, OR, USA Desktop Support Internship Portland, OR This part-time internship is scheduled to begin in June 2019 The Field Services Desktop Support Intern will support the Field Services team. Field Services is responsible for the day-to-day support, configuration and delivery of all desktop equipment and peripherals including; laptops, printers, scanners, telephones, smart phones and cell phones. Our group also includes the Second Level Support (SLS) team which is committed to providing timely and helpful remote technical support services for all of our desktop customers. As a Field Services Desktop Support Intern, you will: * Image PCs and Macbooks for deployment * Install and replace hardware * Pick up termination equipment * Help support PC and Mac refreshes * Provide technical support for desktop customers * Analyze and document customer request requirements and problem symptoms to make recommendations and collaborate with IT professionals Combine your academic experience with the following skills and abilities: * Read and understand moderately complex procedural documentation; moderate knowledge of desktop computers and intermediate troubleshooting * Prior experience setting up and working on computer hardware; prior experience or combination of education and experience including network and PC support preferred * Familiar with printers and printer maintenance along with printer infrastructure and setup * Work with end-user customers to resolve and work through issues * Work at a desk and in computer room environments * Proficient in MS Office * Problem solving; analytical and critical thinking * Detail-oriented, ability to translate detailed technical information into a simple and easily-digestible summary, ability to grasp complex concepts * Above average written and verbal communication skills * Prior customer service experience a plus * Work well with business customers and IT partners * Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment * Ability to: * Operate office equipment including but not limited to: personal computer, facsimile machine and copier * Differentiate colors (standard telecommunications cable color codes) * Lift 50 lb., bend, stoop and crawl for prolonged periods of time * Must be currently enrolled in an accredited high school or university * Minimum cumulative 3.0 grade point average * Must be legally authorized to work in the United States At Cambia, we advocate for transforming the health care system.
