This job brought to you by Careerbuilder Location: Manhattan, Kansas Job Description: Overview Get the management / leadership experience you're looking for and put your knowledge to the test with this internship! Responsible for assisting the Retail Operations team in driving revenue and profitability specific to store operations including receiving, web fulfillment, and off-site location events. This part time internship will request 20 hours per week and will begin in August 2019. This internship will require working all home K-State gamedays! GO STATE! Responsibilities Management - learn key fundamental operations duties in the area of retail management. * Collaborate with operations team. Assist in executing strategic plans for operational activity. * Aid in organizing recruitment and placement of required staff. Delegate tasks and accountabilities. Lead staff and monitor performance. * Clearly communicate and monitor tasks between support teams where necessary for off-site locations, Receiving and Web Fulfillment including IT, HR, Finance and Maintenance. Receiving * Assist in monitoring the work of various team members involved in merchandising, warehousing, pricing and distribution of goods. Provide technical and product support where necessary. * Maintains a clean and orderly workspace that can be shared by multiple team members as necessary. Web Fulfillment * Assist in any fulfillment of e-commerce orders for shipping by verifying on hand quantities and matching shipping standards. Completes fulfillment and return/exchanges processes per outlined SOP. * Also, continues efforts in this area to maintain a clean and orderly workspace that can be shared by multiple team members as necessary. * Clearly communicates with Team regularly regarding web store or order specific concerns. * Engages with customers successfully in completing order transaction(s). Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience Required: * Candidates seeking a bachelor's degree in Business Management or related field preferred. * Two or more years of retail experience preferred. * Strong interpersonal, written, communication and organizational skills. * Strong computer skills, working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Ability to work with limited supervision, highly self-motivated. * Thrives in a fast-paced environment.
