In addition to the Clinical responsibilities of supporting adults seeking better mental health care in the East Valley, Jung Psych Services manages the operation of Affiliated Psych Services, a six office suite of full and part-time independent mental health practitioners who specialize in early childhood assessment and intervention, academic advocacy, trauma care, family therapy, and couples counseling as well as psychiatric assessment and medication monitoring.Benefits: * Work with a great team of well-seasoned mentors. * Explore the process management behind migrating clients through private practice. * Network with representatives from local treatment programs, pharmaceutical companies and independent practitioners. * Experience a variety of clients seeking outpatient counseling and psychiatric support. * Learn the business behind the practice, including process and project management, marketing, scheduling, billing/receiving and insurance coordination. * Understand the importance of electronic health records to facilitate HIPAA compliant care. * Participate in clinical case studies, mental health advocacy in online social networking platforms, current events research and writing opportunities. * Learn the legal and ethical standards necessary to ensure continuum of care. Role and Responsibilities * Welcome visitors * Create and scan new medical record documents into the electronic medical record. * Gather patient data from a variety of sources by interacting with registration areas and provider offices, maintaining organization and security of sensitive documents through prompt filing, scanning, retrieval and destruction of archived documents. * Perform routine duties associated with insurance verification, payment posting, records management, client contact and associated administrative tasks. * Schedule appointments and facilitate messages left for providers. * Create a personal portfolio of experiences related to students independent interests, such as research on psychiatric medications, observations of diagnostic interviews across the psychological service spectrum, research into applied therapeutic interventions vs. counseling philosophies, business and marketing planning in healthcare, or interactions with the flow of clients through practice: from referral through after-care. Qualifications and Education Requirements The appropriate candidate can reliably demonstrate time management, prompt attendance, organization, attention to detail, quality focus, professionalism, productivity, thoroughness, coordination, deadline-oriented behavior, internal communications and reporting skills. Comfort working independently with all forms of electronic media is necessary. Preferred Skills Amiable, professional customer service. Comfortable use of telephone etiquette. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google products. Enthusiastic willingness to learn cloud-based project management platforms. Ability to work independently and learn new skills.
