# Intern Community Public Relations **Medical City Healthcare Internship** Medical City Healthcare is seeking acommunity and public relations intern for summer 2019. The intern will betrained in the inner workings and aspects of the public relations field, gainvisibility in the local community, and be able to provide concretedeliverables. When the internship is successfully complete, the intern will beready to enter the PR field. **PotentialResponsibilities (under close supervision of the Community and Public RelationsTeam):** * Fully support hospitals community and PR plan, and execute it in different phases * Create and curate engaging content * Communicate and build relationships with current or prospect partners * Assist with hospital social media, including photography and videos * Assist with creating press releases * Keep media contacts and databases up-to-date * Attend and assist with various events, including planning * Assist in administrative duties **Requirements:** * Strong desire to learn along with professional drive * Solid understanding of social media * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Efficiency at MS Office * Passion for the PR industry and its best practices * Current enrollment as an undergraduate in a related major at a college or university * Personal computer and cell phone * Reliable transportation for traveling to and from community events and meetings related to internship training * Preferred: efficiency with Adobe Photoshop and video-making software such as iMovie, FinalCut Pro **Primary Location: **United States-Texas-Irving-North Texas Division Office **Work Locations: ** **Job: **Marketing %26 PR **Organization: **HOSPITAL CORPORATION OF AMERICA **Schedule: **Full-time **Job Type: **Standard
