This job brought to you by Careerbuilder Location: Ames, Iowa Job Description: Danfoss in Ames, Iowa is seeking Process Engineering Intern to support projects within the production areas, including: tooling design and implementation, time studies, data analysis, part procurement and process related documentation. BACKGROUND & SKILLS * Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Agriculture Engineering or Industrial Technology * GPA: 3.0 or above * Level of Education: Sophomore, Junior or Senior * Commitment to work at least 8 months (full-time ~40 hours per week in the summer; part-time ~20 hours per week during the spring/fall semester(s)) * Problem solving skills, ability to set and meet deadlines. * Basic knowledge of any CAD package; AutoCAD, Inventor, Siemens NX, Solid Works, or CATIA * General Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts * Familiar with basic hand tools * Ability to interact with employees at all levels of the organization JOB RESPONSIBILIITES * Help in designing and implementation of manufacturing process improvements to improve safety, quality, and productivity * Perform calculations to analyze system and process performance * Specify test plans for assembly process validation * Collect and analyze paint and packaging processes performance data * Support new packaging automation projects * Assist in troubleshooting and improving paint lines We are Engineering Tomorrow The world faces growing populations, booming urbanization and rapid climate change.
