Title: Sourcing Intern / Paid Internship (6 months - Full-time - start asap) Position Summary: Assist with materials purchasing, and tracking for complex and various products to support Planning and Manufacturing departments. Assist sourcing team with placing purchase orders, purchase orders confirmation, follow up on past due purchase orders and return to vendor processing. Primary Responsibilities: * Assist with purchase orders, change orders, order acknowledgements, RMA's, RTV's, ECO's and other transactions using MRP system and related data sources/toolsets developed for this activity, including databases and spreadsheets. Follow up on past due purchase orders. * Monitor purchase orders, purchase orders maintenance, expedites, non-conformances, and returns. * Work with Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, production supervisors and leads in regards to non-conforming materials and perform return to vendor process. * Participate in MRB and execute its material dispositions when assigned. Communicate non-conformance issues to suppliers. * Provide assistance with special projects as needed, and perform other related duties as assigned. * Support all departments by providing excellent customer service and participating in meeting company goals and objectives with Planning, Manufacturing, Quality and Engineering teams. * Successful candidate will have proven ability to achieve results in a fast paced, dynamic environment, and demonstrated ability to work well with people inside the organization. The ability to troubleshoot and analyze problems, multi-task with attention to detail, meet deadlines and professionalism is a must. Minimum Requirements: * Results driven with a can-do attitude, solutions oriented and demonstrated ability to work well in a team-based environment. * Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment and maintain strong attention to detail. * Bachelor's degree (or working toward the completion of a degree) - in Operations, Supply Chain, Business, or Manufacturing. * Demonstrated strong computer, data analysis and report writing skills especially in MS Excel. * Excellent oral and written communication skills. * Knowledge and application of principles and theories of the materials profession a plus. Preferred: * APICS certification * Experience in Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives. * Experience with MRP systems - experience with MFG Pro/QAD and Agile a plus. #LI-GL1 ID: ZLS - 16358 Join us!
