Photo Editor Intern Gateway Blend - Clayton, MO3.3 12 hours agoFull-timeEstimated: $28,000 - $37,000 a year Apply Now Skills * Adobe Photoshop * Content Management Systems Gateway Blends Creative Team is seeking a Photo Editor Intern to enhance its ability to source, acquire and use external photography. Our stable of online brands needs someone who loves working with imagery to find outstanding photography that is on-brand, high quality and visually engaging. Work full-time in our laid back, fun office or partially at home, shopping for images to support our brands. Duties and Expectations Collaborate with product, video, development and content teams to source, acquire and manipulate imagery for multiple online properties. Help product teams define brand-specific photographic styling and usage standards that enhance and support each brands identity, mission, vision and values. Works with content contributors as needed to source imagery specific to content being produced. Ensure imagery is optimal quality and is on-brand. Manipulate, style, resize and optimize images as needed for final use. Ensure image usage requirements and attribution are followed as directed image owner. Help define and create a streamlined process for the acquisition and usage of quality photographic assets. Help create and maintain brand image libraries and update teams as new assets are available. Work within the product development process ensuring project assets are provided on time. Work to identify external brands, products or companies to form relationships with for the acquisition of quality photographic assets. Have an eye for design, strong attention to detail, and the ability to understand and apply the requirements of design style guides and marketing channel specifications. Communicate to content contributors the availability of newly acquired image assets and provide guidance on image usage and quality requirements. Ability to multitask, complete assignments under deadline and make quick turnarounds on projects. Qualifications and Requirements: Working towards a degree in Media Communications, Design, Marketing, Journalism, other related field or equivalent experience. Experience with Adobe Photoshop. Self-starter with the ability to streamline functions and a passion to learn and grow. Ability to work independently. Experience using content management systems a plus. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Experience with optimizing images for use on websites, social media, online advertising and email campaigns.
