Strategy Associate Intern, Intelligent Spend Group in the office of the President of SAPs Intelligent Spend Group is a dedicated role responsible for strategy & transformation projects related to SAPs recently announced Intelligent Spend Group, which combines the SAP Concur, Ariba, and Fieldglass Units. They will be responsible for designing and executing strategic initiatives in close partnership with functional leaders across the organization. They will be expected to work end-to-end on projects that can range from general strategy, integration, marketing, pricing/packaging, partnership diligence, and business model innovation. Your work will give you direct exposure to the executive team and contribute to our overall strategy and help drive its successful execution. The three main areas of focus for the Strategy Associate Intern role are: - Business Transformation: This role will be responsible for designing and executing strategic initiatives in close partnership with functional leaders across the organization. They will be expected to work end-to-end on projects that can range from general growth strategies, partnership diligence, pricing, business model innovation, operational excellence, and other strategic projects. This role may also lead cross Cloud Business Group initiatives as required. - Pricing/Packaging of combined offer: This role will be involved in supporting the creation of a combined offer for the intelligent spend group, inclusive of selecting a test market and creating a plan for what success looks like in said test market. - Growth Initiatives & Corporate Planning The ISG strategy team helps drive the corporate planning and investment allocation process in concert with the executive team of the operating units. The Strategy Associate will be involved in a variety of growth initiatives for the SAP Intelligent Spend business unit, inclusive of analysis of growth opportunities and helping to form these into board-level quality investment cases. This role is high exposure to the Intelligent Spend Group executive leadership team, so a general capacity to interact both from a personality and strategic viewpoint at this level is a requirement. Given SAP Intelligent Spend Group operating environment within the larger SAP family of companies, a strong understanding of the enterprise software space would be a great asset. This role reports to the VP Strategy & Transformation for the SAP Intelligent Spend Group, part of the office of the President/CEO team for this unit. Requirements - 5+ years of experience in the technology, banking, or related industry. Some experience in Consulting, investment banking, and/or extensive experience interacting at an executive board level would be helpful. - General understanding of deal structures in the enterprise software space - Education Minimum requirement: Bachelors Degree in a technical discipline with an MBA from a top tier institution - Functional knowledge: Expertise in Financial modeling and/or Go to market strategies would be particularly helpful. Overall, the ability to cross a wide variety topics with a reasonable degree of understanding or high aptitude to learn is key to success - Ability to distill relevant information from a financial report, board reports, etc. Comfortable speaking financial talk & language. - Understanding of general pricing theories & practical applications in the software business - Works well in a small form office of the president team & with executive level management Travel Requirements: Required to be based in Bellevue, WA, USA.
