Paid Internship - PR/Communications Rainforest Connection - Austin, TX InternshipEstimated: $22,000 - $30,000 a year Save Education * Bachelor's Degree We are an amazing nonprofit tech startup that uses up-cycled smartphones to detect sounds of illegal logging and poaching, to protect illegal deforestation of rainforests around the world. We are looking for an enthusiastic team player to come work with us! This will be a great for the right person to exercise a tremendous amount of creative leadership. We are still a small team, so successful candidates must be autonomous, self-motivated and require little guidance. Candidates must also be highly skilled in oral and written communication. This internship will be 15-20 hrs/week for now, but has the potential to become a full-time position. Responsibilities: * Manage PR/Communications for Rainforest Connection * Serve as the liaison between the media and RFCx operations, scheduling meetings, handling media engagements etc. * Write articles about partnerships with other nonprofits, community outreach efforts and other RFCx activities and engagements. * Come up with creative ideas for getting all of our article content out there.
