Job Skills / Requirements JOB DESCRIPTION: We are seeking an R&D CHEMIST INTERN to work in our Corporate Headquarters R&D Center and Pilot Plant located in Louisville, KY. This is a Part-time, Temporary position with a term of about six (6) months. Position Responsibilities: Primary role of this position is to perform lab tasks assigned by R&D Chemists and Scientists; perform and conduct experiments; collect and analyze data; develop preliminary findings for review by experienced researchers; prepare written reports of work; contribute to research reports. The R&D Chemist Intern reports to the Pilot Plant Supervisor. Solves routine problems using established methods or techniques. Works under immediate supervision. Assists higher level scientists in assigned phases of work. Clearly communicates results verbally and in writing. Writes reports as required. Compliance with all Safety, Health and Environment policies and procedures. Continuously seeks ways to improve performance of our facility's operations. Adhere to the quality system. Performs all other duties as assigned by the Pilot Plant Supervisor. Work environment is the Pilot Plant. 0% Travel Requirements Three (3) years college level education related to Chemistry/Polymer Science and continuing school toward completing a Bachelors in similar field. Possess relative lab, instrumentation and polymer learning.
