Current and past productions include WICKED; What the Constitution Means to Me; SpongeBob SquarePants; War Paint; Fun Home; Oh, Hello on Broadway; If/Then; Fully Committed; Peter and the Starcatcher; Bring It On: The Musical; Sister Act; Traces; Next To Normal; The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee; The Vagina Monologues; Man of La Mancha; The Graduate; I Love You, Youre Perfect, Now Change and Bat Boy: The Musical. The 321 Theatrical Management internship program offers an intensive look at commercial theatrical management including seminars led by 321 staff members in areas such as finance, contracts, budgeting, investment, and company management. The ideal intern will thrive in an office setting rather than in the rehearsal studio and must have an interest in the management side of theatre. This internship is notbeneficial to those pursuing a career as a performer, but rather those with an interest in general management, company management, arts administration, or producing. Candidates should be prepared to contribute to the heavy administrative needs that a general management office requires, and have the ability to adapt quickly in an ever-changing environment. Basic Responsibilities: � Answering phones, handling mail, copying, scanning, filing, running errands � Computer assignments, conducting research, contributing to various reports � Preparation of payroll distribution for our shows, assisting our finance department in preparing for audits � Additional unique projects, working directly with company managers and general managers, are assigned as needed. Necessary skills: � Ability to multi-task � Must be computer literate and have basic-to-intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. � Self-motivated, responsible, well-spoken, organized, and detail oriented � Previous office experience is preferred. Internship Specializations - Each of our General Management interns will be assigneda specialization area. Please indicate in your application which specialization(s) you would like to be considered for: 1. Company Management/General Management 2. Marketing/Group Sales/General Management 3. Finance/General Management Dates: The fall semester internship will run from Mon, August 19th, 2019 through Fri, January 17th, 2020. Fall interns must available to work in the office on the days surrounding certain fall/winter holidays including Fri, 11/29, Mon, 12/23, Thu, 12/26, Fri, 12/27, Mon 12/30, and Thu 1/2/20. Please confirm that you will be available during the fall internship time frame and for the specific days mentioned. Office Hours: Monday through Friday, 10am 6pm. We are currently seeking applicants with full-time availability. Compensation: Each intern will receive a weekly stipend. College Credit: If you are a student seeking to fulfill a course requirement/credit through this internship, 321 Theatrical Management will be happy to fill out any necessary paperwork. Perks: Interns are able to shadow company managers for our productions in New York, as well as observe other aspects of the business including production development, stage management, advertising and marketing. Interns are offered approximately 20 seminars per semester, led by 321 staff members in their various areas of expertise. In addition, interns receive comp offers to shows when available.
