In this role, the successful candidate performing routine research tasks and procedures that include but not limited to established protocols as well as lab synthesis and characterization of compounds requiring application of standard techniques. Job Responsibilities: Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Trains and learns how to operate imaging equipment to help acquire the data necessary for the progress of the project Interacts with senior research engineers to develop an understanding of experiment needs and requirements. Assesses the necessary literature search related to the projects when needed Reads and interprets established protocol and refine the steps that require optimization. Participates to weekly meetings and report his own research progress Organizing and analyzing research data Calibrates, characterizes and test analytical instruments and protocols. Minimum Qualifications: To qualify you must have a Undergraduate student aiming at acquiring basic research experience before obtaining a Bachelors degree whether in the pre-med track or with background in the following field: biochemistry, biology, biomedical sciences, electrical engineering, physics or any discipline directly related to the Engineering field where no previous work experience is required. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of current technological developments/trends in area of expertise. Ability to interact with students, faculty and/or staff in a team environment. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications. Engineering and/or scientific design and testing skills. Knowledge of engineering, science, and mathematics fundamentals. Skill in the use of routine laboratory equipment. Ability to build and test engineering and/or scientific systems and components. Ability to read schematics and blueprints and/or technical manuals. Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
