Do you like analyzing data and solving problems? Are you passionate about using medical software to Engineer on Anatomy and improve peoples daily lives? Then we have the perfect internship for you! We have a great opportunity for a Biomedical Engineering (BME) Intern at our Plymouth, Michigan office. You will work with our medical software sales and technical support team to help solve application problems using our Mimics Innovation Suite software. We are looking for a bright, energetic student who is task oriented, organized and can work independently. The ideal candidate is working towards a degree in engineering, is available full-time during the summer and part-time during the school year. Responsibilities * Execute Engineering Service Projects in the orthopedic and cardiovascular fields * Provide technical support to our software customers * Research, analyze and present data related to software sales and market opportunities * Handle incoming medical data for patient-specific medical devices * Organize medical data for record retention and quality assurance activities * Prepare patient data for use in surgical planning and medical device design * Other engineering and general team support as needed Requirements * Currently enrolled in an Engineering (Bachelors or Masters) program * Excellent communication and problem solving skills * Attention to detail and ability to work independently * Exceptional computer skills * Experience with medical image processing software, CAD or FEA/CFD experience a plus * Available to work 20 hours per week during school year; Monday Friday, office hours * Available to work 40 hours per week during summer; Monday Friday, office hours This is a part-time, non-exempt, hourly position in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Benefits, relocation assistance and/or visa sponsorship are not available for this position.
