Hours not to exceed 29.5 per week and will be 4 or 5 days a week.Summary:Assists in the development and implementation of collection and reporting of data for the Division of Homeland Security and EmergencyManagement (HSEM).Responsibilities:Collects, compiles and reviews data for Operations Section or Planning Section and prepares a variety of reports, presentations, and other outreachmaterials for dissemination.Assists a variety of program areas within HSEM in data collection and provides key information to other program partners to enhance programobjectives.Focuses on special project coordination relating to Emergency Management to include creating project timelines, conducting research andfacilitating the implementation of project goals.Develops, updates, edits and maintains a variety of documents, databases, graphics and spreadsheets to support Section responsibilities.Researches and reviews policies and procedures to develop and update HSEM Standard Operating Procedures for the purpose of establishinginternal processes that ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.Assists in the coordination of federal, state, and community officials in the development of action plans pertaining to special events and incidents;monitors the development and evaluation of program services to ensure all program planning requirements are met.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Education: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor or Masters degree program at an accredited institute of higher education.Experience: Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of product.License/Certification: None required.SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:Selected candidate will undergo a fingerprint based criminal background check and motor vehicle record check in order to ensure suitability forexposure to confidential information.DISCLAIMER STATEMENT: The supplemental job description lists typical examples of work and is not intended to include every job duty andresponsibility specific to a position.
