The Marketing & Social Media Interns primary responsibility is to plan, track and execute marketing programs that will build relationships in the community and business world that increase guest count, check averages and outside sales. The Marketing & Social Media Intern is the ambassador to the community. This will require a thorough understanding of our business and marketing strategy across multiple locations/states/concepts; good communication with restaurant management, Owner/Operators, wait team and the community; and the ability to project manage and problem solve in a fast-paced environment. Overview of Responsibilities: *Understand and communicate marketing strategy and objectives to restaurant management and their teams. The candidate must communicate the marketing strategy and activities in collaboration with all restaurant team members so that everyone understands his/her role in its implementation. *Increasing our restaurant group's web presence is a key responsibility. This involves both overseeing local restaurant team members and external consultants who are responsible for updating the restaurant's social media sites, and/or doing the work themselves. The Marketing & Social Media Intern keeps track of both positive and negative feedback from guests on ratings websites and uses social media tools such as OpenTable, Yelp, Google, Twitter, Facebook, Instragram to directly engage with guests. *Plan, coordinate, follow up with all catering events/taco truck client inquiries. This will include fielding calls, inputting notes for future events, execution of events, and follow up with client to ensure they are happy. *The Marketing Intern will be responsible for coordinating, communicating, marketing all charitable donations as well as hosting charitable fundraisers, restaurant anniversary celebrations and other special events to attract guests and pay off the brands philosophies. They will also be responsible for organizing the events and handling the logistics. The Marketing & Social Media Intern works with local media outlets such as newspapers and radio to increase public awareness of these events and maximize guest attendance. *Plan and execute marketing programs and events in coordination with restaurant management as assigned. *Partner with Marketing Director to formulate a quarterly marketing plan. Ensure our leadership is well informed of all marketing and PR activities, including collection and analysis of data to improve marketing programs. Plan and create in-store and event merchandising materials in a well-organized and coordinated way. *Be an ambassador for the brand, and build relationships with local community members.
