We are seeking a college student intern for the Fall 2019 semester to help us with software code development, code validation and test, and UI implementation. The position is located in Atlanta. GA and is a seasonal, full-time (hourly) position. US Citizenship or US Person status is required. POSITION SUMMARY SpaceWorks Software is searching for a college intern to join us in the fall semester of 2019 (mid August to mid December). Our target candidate is a current or recent college student majoring in computer science (CS) or software engineering. Typical SpaceWorks Software interns are seeking either BS or MS degrees and are looking for a practical full-time semester-long experience in industry. Given our focus on the aerospace industry, we are looking for someone with a passion for outer space, aerospace applications, small satellites, space exploration, and high speed terrestrial flight. SpaceWorks Software serves as SpaceWorks' business unit for aerospace-oriented software products such as QuickShot and REDTOP. Our software team also supports a variety of internal software projects in Java, Python, and C++. Skills with scripting languages, UI development, and software development frameworks is also desired. Given the nature of our work, US Person status is required. RESPONSIBILITIES Work with the SpaceWorks Software and SpaceWorks' Product Development Team on a variety of ongoing software development and software verification and test projects Develop aerospace-oriented software code in Java, Python, and C++ for Windows and Mac Familiarity with mobile device application and/or GUI development is a plus MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS College student pursuing a degree (BS, MS, or PhD) in computer science, software engineering, software development, or a related field Experience with Java, Python, C++ Familiarity with GIT, GITHub collaborative software development environments Available full-time hourly for Fall 2019 (mid-August to Mid-December) Strong written and verbal communications skills Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) Save
