Innovation Intern - City Rochester State Minnesota Telecommute No Department Center for Innovation Position description This position with Mayo Clinic Center for Innovation design group is focused on building skills in design research and service design, while providing exposure to the role of design in healthcare. The student's responsibilities would include supporting the staff design researchers with primary and secondary research activities. This may include direct patient contact, collaboration with care teams in the clinical setting, planning and conducting research activities with an emphasis on rigorous documentation and visualization. Qualifications Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or masters level program. Additional qualifications Prefer exposure to primary user research methods and have presentation experience from previous co-ops or work experience. Fluency in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and a strong ability express ideas visually is preferred. We encourage students to apply who are interested in design for healthcare and who are self-directed, adaptable, and bring a positive enthusiasm to their work. Sponsorship for U.S. work authorization/visa is not offered for this position. Exemption status Non-exempt Compensation Detail This position has a predetermined rate of $21.42 per hour. This is a fall internship with an intended duration of approximately 12 weeks between September and December.
