Job Information Wenatchee School District #148-CRT-06-19:First Grade Teacher in Wenatchee, Washington POSITION #148-CRT-06-19:First Grade TeacherMission View Elementary1.0 FTE, Continuing Contract Beginning the 2019-2020 School YearDESCRIPTION: Instruct first grade students. Plan, implement and assess classroom instruction consistent with program, district curriculum and required district assessment. Help each first grade student learn at high levels in all first grade subjects including English Language Arts, mathematics, social skills and other standards. Report pupil progress to parents, support programs and building/district in-service education programs; attend meetings and conferences as required. Other related duties.QUALIFICATIONS: Valid Washington state certification with appropriate elementary endorsement. Strong knowledge of the development of firstgrade children. Experience working with elementary students preferred. Experience with iReady Reading and Math. Experience with a Professional Learning Community. Strong literacy and math background. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to collaborate with other teachers and specialists to ensure high levels of student learning. Ability to work as a team player. Knowledge of Positive Behavioral Intervention Support (PBIS) or willingness to learn. May require prolonged sitting or standing. Attendance and punctuality are important functions of this job.
