-Engineering position responsible for all aspects of the manufacturing processes at the facility.
-Create a commercially practical, technically sufficient and economically sound design for an assigned product or unit based on predetermined mechanical characteristics. Responsible for performance requirements, weight and dimensional limits, determining the nature and working relationship of the various elements of design.
-A position that provides a hands-on learning experience that transfer to skills needed in a full- time engineering position. The opportunity available is to develop, participate and learn key roles and functions while working under the guidance of senior engineers
Duties and responsibilities:
-Review work orders for consistency and design conflicts
-Support sales staff in answering customer questions
-Use complex engineering modeling software such as but not limited to SolidWorks, DriveWorks and Creo to solve complex engineering problems
-Completes hand calculations as needed to supplement analysis reports
-Review engineering drawings for accuracy of designs
Requirements (education, experience, travel, physical, work environment):
-Candidates must possess a strong work ethic and be self-motivated
-Must be able to meet deadlines and put in the time needed to get the job done
-Strong organizational skills and time management
-Effective oral and written communication skills
-Working knowledge of computers
-CAD experience is a plus
-Graphic Design is a plus
-Be able to effectively carry out assigned duties in varying work environments
-Desire to learn
-General knowledge of the layout of an ambulance and construction of its components
-xperience in a manufacturing environment, and preferably in an automotive related industry.
-Experience with problem solving techniques (5 why & root cause analysis), and with statistical techniques and data analysis.
-Must have excellent communication skills with ability to interface directly with hourly employees as well as management level of employee concerning manufacturing initiatives and progress updates.
-Must possess a high energy level with a strong work ethic.
-Ability to read, write, comprehend, and verbally communicate simple instructions, short correspondence and memos in English.
-Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and layout and other written or verbal instructions presented in English.
-Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
