Musashi North America is seeking a Strategic Market Research Analyst to support key business product development initiatives.-- In this role, you'll research and share information on industry trends, customers and competitors with business unit stakeholders. You'll conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis of data, support the development of business cases and manage key promotional activity. This role is located in Southfield, MI. Essential Functions Research, analysis and forecasting of the automotive and mobility industries including megatrends like electrification, connected, shared and autonomous driving. Lead market trend analysis through development of a tracking mechanism and standardized method to provide monthly updates on key indicators that may include production, sales, inventory and other economic assumptions Conduct market and customer research in emerging technology for the Powertrain and Link and Suspension business units. Analyze findings and share results. Develop business unit guidelines and best practices for market research collection, analysis and presentation. Assist in tracking and supporting sales of assigned product lines in support of business unit objectives. Track progress to plan for new product revenue, pipelines. Includes using general reporting tools to create reports. Provide analysis and communicate results in clear an effective manner. Develop and maintain relationships with external service providers (e.g. research institutes, consulting firms and expositions) that can be leveraged to expand organizational knowledge and support business objectives. Contribute to marketing communication strategy and update general marketing materials with aligned messaging. Work with business development team to create standard presentations for strategic product lines, market focus offerings, and new technologies. Work and communicate with a cross functional global team. Manage physical marketing material including product sheets, company brochures, demonstrators and samples. Distribute to internal and external customers as needed. Here's what we're looking for--- Required Qualifications Degree in business administration or marketing. 2+ years' experience in performing market research in technology Preferred Qualifications Fluency in English; second language proficiency strongly desired. Prior experience in promotional marketing Skills And Abilities Technical aptitude to understand technical concepts and relate them to industry trends and business strategy Analytical skills to take qualitative and quantitative data and draw logical and valuable conclusions Organizational skills to anticipate, plan and prioritize to meet deadlines. Ability to work effectively with management and perform as part of a team to meet goals. Effective written and oral communication skills that demonstrate the ability to express ideas, exchange information clearly and concisely, and deliver concise and effective presentations Interpersonal skills to effectively work with co-workers and external contacts to meet objectives.
